With Mothers’ Day fast approaching I’m sharing with you the ultimate lunchbox for Foodie Mums. If your mum is anything like me, she loves a good kitchen gadget and this Vaya Tyffyn is the latest & greatest in lunchboxes for stylish mamas.
What Is It?
The Vaya Tyffyn is a modern take on a traditional Indian Tiffin, (which is I believe, an Indian English word for a type of meal) most widely recognised as the stackable metal lunchboxes carried by Indian schoolkids and office workers.
Tyffyn is the most advanced thermally-insulated lunchbox in the world. It was designed using state-of-the-art technology ensuring food stays hot or cold for longer. It was also designed to prevent spills and for easy portability.
Its out with the old and in with the super funky at Vaya, with so many combinations to choose from. There are 2 different outer finishes (copper or stainless steel), 3 different sizes (600ml/1000ml/1300ml) and over 20 different designs to ensure your mum has a perfectly personalized lunch experience. There is even a great kids range!
I really love this product. I ‘m a bit of a hot lunch girl myself, and even though I have a microwave at work, it’s great to not have the hassle and just open up my lunch right there at my desk, as the Tyffyn keeps food hot (or cold!) for up to 6 hours. The best part is that the inner food containers are dishwasher safe. Thank goodness! No mum I’ve ever met enjoys hand washing anything.
What foods can you carry in a Tyffyn?
I’ve used my Tyffyn for curry & rice, Roast dinner with mash, Pasta salad and cold chicken and my own little ploughmans lunch of a mini pastie, cheeses, boiled eggs, crunchy bread, pickles and cold meats. They also made for a great selection of dips with crudites and crackers. The inner containers come with dividers which are great for keeping foods separate in the same container so my dips and pickles didn’t mingle!
It’s also a really good size. Not huge and clunky but slim enough to carry without feeling awkward and easy enough to pop in my bag with everything else I try to pile in there on my way to work.
I’ve so many comments when out and about and my girls are both chomping at the bit to take it to school and test it out for themselves!
If you need a gift for your mama, whether she be a foodie, a lover of kitchen gadgets or a super busy working mum, the Vaya Tyffyn is a great idea. Pick out your favourite combo and grab one for your mama. I’ll bet she will love you for it!
