Most of us get upset about stuff several times a day.
There are plenty of reasons why something or someone becomes a source of anger or frustration to us. PLENTY.
Several of the most common reasons are as such…
Feeling unwanted, not cared for, not loved.
When you get wounded, when your heart breaks, when you are left out or don’t feel valued.
Getting upset at those who don’t understand right and wrong. Wrongs committed against those you love or respect or when you are betrayed.
A threat to you or someone you love.
Annoyance. People doing things just to see a reaction in you.
All of these things can happen daily, to you, me, anyone. They can if not properly controlled, allow you to totally and utterly lose the plot. To break down in a sobbing pile and not just lose your marbles, but literally throw them out of a moving train.
There are a LOT of things that totally tick me off. Just ask me, I’ll tell you…
Things I Hate ( in no particular order)
Completely stupid people;
People with zero education;
Absolute bloody idiots;
Girls who pretend to be stupid to get attention whom actually, are not.
People who think farts are funny;
People who fart in public;
People who fart in public and laugh;
People who fart in public to piss off other people and think it’s funny and laugh.
People who feel the need to argue about unnecessary things;
People who create arguments from nothing;
Backchat from kids;
Backchat from insolent teenagers who really should know better.
People who don’t listen.
People who ask for advice but never act on it;
Asking someone to do something (nicely) which never gets done;
Asking for something to be done now, (for a specific fucking reason) and standing there watching the askee NOT do whatever the fuck it was you asked for.
People who make racist or sexist jokes and when others get upset say things like “ it’s just a joke!!!” or “ it’s just (insert country of origin here) humour!!”. Note to you – it’s not humour. It just proves what an absolute loser you are.
I’m sure there are more, but that’s it for now…
The big question though, is can you let it go?
Can you be like Elsa? Can you put your frustrations to the side and just steam ahead concentrating on living your best life?
Sometimes you can, and sometimes you can’t.
We are human, and in being so means we tend to stew over things we probably shouldn’t. We let things bother us that we probably shouldn’t. We resent, we hurt, we hate, we grieve.
And we can also love.
We can forgive and forget and wipe our memories of our hurtful past.
It might be hard to do those things, but if you can’t – you will never ever truly be free.
