
Frankly, some people just don’t do mornings.
If this is you (and we all know it’s me!!) your best friend is Prep. This does not come easily for all, but it will sure as hell give you at least 15more minutes of kip in the morning and no one can complain about that.
Then put into the fridge. There is nothing worse than having to make lunches in the morning.
Breakfast items ready.
Even simple things like having the toaster out – because to be honest, in the mornings, even getting the toaster from the pantry is too much effort for some. Are your kids early risers? Have something out for them. A banana, a healthy muffin, a squeezy of yoghurt in the fridge, cups with straws or sippers of milk ready to go or a snack cup of cereal to give you a head start.
Pick your clothes.
Out ready to put on. Mornings are not made for trying to find a coordinating outfit.
Bags packed
waiting for lunchboxes, notes signed. All extraneous crap for the day added (sports outfit, library books, etc.).
A home for your keys, wallet, and phone.
Do not be one of those people who spend 10 minutes tearing the house apart to find the important stuff. You are a grown-up. It should be easy.
