What makes a confident woman?
Is she born with it? Or maybe it’s just great makeup, cheekiness, and a whole lotta sass?
The truth is, sure some people just naturally exude confidence out of every pore. Some don’t. This doesn’t however, mean the secrets of confident women cannot be learned.
Just like learned behavior in animals, we can utilise learned changes in our own thoughts, actions and behaviours to slowly change our perceptions of events and grow our confidence bit by bit.
Confidence is security. Its the knowledge that whatever is said or happens, that you don’t give a rats. It’s not going to hurt you, not distress you, not make you feel bad.
Knowledge is power.
You have the power, you win.
So what can you do to harness the secrets of confident women?
Don’t apologise for everything.
Hard to do this. really. bloody. hard. No one knows this more than I!
Don’t be afraid to tell people you are fabulous.
Not bragging and definitely not big-noting yourself, but quiet confidence is everything.
Go get em!
Help other women.
If I think I can do something then goddammit woman, you can do it too!
Be organised.
I totally know what’s going on and I’m ready (and If not – then fake it till you make it baby!).
Don’t be afraid of admitting you stuffed up.
Yes OK, that was my bad. Learn from your mistakes and move on.
Don’t worry about what other people think.
Who gives a stuff? Only worry about things you can control. Other people’s opinions are not one of them.
Confident women are sexier.
OK so I totally just made this one up, but really, I’m sure it’s true…
Honestly, there really is no secret! If you can teach yourself to change your thoughts, your habits and your perceptions, then you can grow your own self-confidence.
Don’t be afraid, don’t apologise, show people you are capable, help others, keep yourself organised, continually try & fail and remember that the only person who really needs to care, is you.
